Herman T. Pott National Inland Waterways Library: (MO) The Herman T. Pott National Inland Waterways Library at the University of Missouir, St. Louis, is a non-circulation special collection of the St. Louis Mercantile Library, founded in 1846. It is named for Herman T. Pott, an industrialist and leading figure in inland waterways barge transportation in the twentieth century. Its holdings comprise one of the most extensive collections of inland waterways historical material in the nation. They include approximately 8,000 books, 400 linear feet of manuscript material, and 10,000 photographs.

Missouri Historical Society: (MO) Located at St. Louis, MO, visitors may access the collections of the Missouri History Museum Library & Research Center's reading room. Researchers will find one of the St. Louis region's premier research collections that documents the history of St. Louis, the State of Missouri, the Mississippi and Missouri Valleys, the Louisiana Purchase Territory and the American West.

Steamboat Arabia Museum: (MO) The Great White Arabia was a 171-foot side-wheeler with three iron boilers capable of pushing more than 200 tons against the Missouri River current. Built in 1853, she was a veteran of the Missouri when she sank. All of her cargo was recovered and exhibits display examples of it all!
